Enzyme Used For Sugar Mills
Sugar enzymes accelerate the conversion of starch into glucose. The conversion takes place through the processes namely liquefaction and saccharifaction. Sugarcane plant has many polysaccharides. Cellulose and hemicelluloses, present in cell wall, give the structural strength to the standing cane plant. As they are insoluble in water, consequently they do not affect sugar manufacture. Starch which is responsible for metabolic activity of a growing plant mainly occurs in sugarcane as an insoluble granule. These granules can dissolve during the processing of starch therefore they have an effect on the manufacturing process. Other soluble polysaccharides such as indigenous sugarcane polysaccharides, glucan, dextran are also detected in sugarcane plant.
EnAmyl
Starch is produced and stored inside sugarcane during photosynthesis which is later utilized in the absence of sunlight as energy source. The starch from sugarcane is carried to the sugar mill which in turn affects the whole process.
EnAmyl is a starch-hydrolyzing thermo-stable alpha-amylase derived from a mutated strain of Bacillus Licheniformis. It is an endo-amylase that randomly hydrolyzes alpha-1,4-glucosidic bonds in sugarcane juice. Addition of EnAmyl helps to keep overall process smooth and efficient.
Benefits:
- EnAmyl reduces viscosity due to gelatinized starch EnAmyl enhances Boiling House Efficiency.
- EnAmyl makes helps in making filtration smooth.
- EnAmyl Improves ICUMSA ratings.
- EnAmyl reduces final starch content.
ENDEX
Dextran is long chain of Glucose formed inside sugarcane by bacteria Leuconostoc Mesentroid which are attached together with strong 1,6-α glucosidic bonds. The bacteria usually enter sugarcane during harvesting and start converting SUCROSE into chains of glucose at rapid rate. Later same dextran is carried to the sugar mills which adversely affect the whole process.
ENDEX is a unique solution produced by Woxmen in a controlled fermentation of a Non GMO Fungal Strain which hydrolyses alpha -1,6 glucosidic bonds of dextran to release either glucose or Iso-maltose or Isomalto
oligosaccharides.
Benefits:
- ENDEX removes complex dextran to make process smooth and efficient.
- ENDEX reduces Viscosity.
- ENDEX improves Boiling house efficiency.
- ENDEX improves purity & Generation of Molasses.
- ENDEX improves Crystallization & ICUMSA ratings
